Hey everyone, welcome back to another blog post and my first post of 2020. I just would like to say happy new year to everyone. I hope you all had a great start to the new year and I hope you accomplish all your goals. For this year i am setting goals for myself and hopefully sticking to it. I wanted to share my list and talk about some goals I wanted to achieve for this year. I have done a couple posts in the past on different goals I’ve wanted to achieve. If you haven’t read any you can find these posts on my blog site. You can type in the search bar “goals”.
Sticking to schedules
Staying up to date on social media posts
Improving my skills
Let’s face it, for some of us bloggers coming up with a marketing strategy for traffic comes easy. And for some (like me) becomes difficult. This year I’ve decided to put in more time on my blog when it comes to Pinterest and work harder in driving traffic to my page.
Sticking to schedule
One thing I really want to do, that’s always at the top of my list is sticking to my consistent schedule. Now I know I can’t get mad if I trail off. Being a mom of two a wife and a blogger is a hectic schedule. Sometimes my kids schedule just don’t fall in place with my blog schedule and posts go un typed or unscheduled. But this year I want maybe a little less of that. I want to stay consistent and organized, plan posts ahead type some up ahead so I can get more content out there. So far into 2020 I have not started this goal but here I am trying.
Staying up to date with social media
This goal kinda goes hand and hand with my goal of staying consistent. I feel like if everything isn’t staying consistent and am not posting then I won’t reach my amount of traffic I want. The most social media platform I usually fall off on random days are twitter. And this is because with Twitter you have to sit and read tweets and take time out your day to tweet. As a busy mom I don’t get much time to do this so I don’t bother to go on everyday. And for Instagram it’s the lack of finding what I want to post. Staying consistent with my colour feed making sure what I want to post goes with my feed. And to be honest it’s all hard lol.
Pinterest, the number one social media platform that every blogger is using. Also if you don’t have me yet on Pinterest please add me HERE. Now I am always trying to find time to piñon Pinterest. I love going on there for fashion inspiration or hairstyles for my girls, whenever I can grab my iPad am always pinning. But that hard thing is finding the right time to pin my content. Or even making the right blog graphics, and making sure you got a great photo. This year I want to actually sit and start making my Pinterest strategy. I never actually took the time to create one it was more when I got the time I’d just pin. But what are some strategies that worked for you all? Please let me know in the comments.
I am always trying to improve my photography skills. Especially for Instagram or even if it is for any blog content. People are always attracted to a good photo. I have came a long way with this, at the start of my blog career my photos were pretty awful on my blog. But along the way I learned how to improve my skills. But hey that’s the way we can learn and get better. I really want to improve my Instagram content a lot and gain more engagement. Hopefully I can stick to it and actually do it this year.
Thanks everyone for reading today’s blog post. I hope some of my goals for this year helped you. What are some of your goals for this year? Please like, share and comment. I always love hearing your thoughts. Also if you haven’t read my latest posts please read HERE.
Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog page. Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend and holiday. I will be putting out posts for the rest of December and 2019. For today’s post I wanted to do a review on spa subscriptions a facial brand. I got a few of the products sent to me awhile back and I wanted to try it out before I talk about it. If you would like to check out the brand you can find them HERE.
Nature and science combine for skincare solutions designed to target specific skincare needs.
Developed by an expert team of researchers and chemists, SPASCRIPTIONS combines advanced technology with high-quality ingredients for a skincare range that fits into your existing skincare routine.
Unmask your natural beauty.” – Spascriptions
I received the 3 pack face masks, it’s ideal for all skin types and the package contains 3 different types of masks. You can use each masks at a time or you can use all three to target different skin issues. These products are PH balanced and is hypo – allergenic. When you receive you package each comes with an applicator which is one of the things I loved about their products. This applicator helps you easily and quickly apply your mask mess free. Spascriptions also has a 15 minute facial therapy.
“ • Cleanse and dry the face • Dip brush applicator into jar and scoop desired amount • Spread evenly over the face, avoiding eyes and lips • If applying more than one mask, wash brush between each mask application and repeat the above • Relax for 15-minutes whilst the mask works its magic • Gently rinse off remaining residue “ – Spascriptions
In my three package I received the silver mask which is the charcoal clay, a yellow royal honey and a pink which helps with collagen. So far using their products I haven’t had any problem with them. The masks are great on my skin and they haven’t caused my skin to break out whatsoever. I love how they package their products with an applicator because it’s so easy to use that to apply the products mess free. I even have been using the applicator to apply my flow recipe sleeping mask. As for results i honestly haven’t been seeing a difference in my skin. But I hardly get or have issues with my skin it’s pretty close to a normal skin type so that could be why so I wouldn’t label the products for the “not use” drawer.
Therefore Spascriptions is a pretty affordable brand you can probably find it at your nearest pharmacy store. I overall feel like the brand is okay it’s adorable and their products work great. Also they are all for all ski types so if you would like to check them out link is attached. Thanks for everyone who read today’s post. I will be uploading another post for tomorrow so look out for that. Please like comment and share! I always love reading your comments. Also if you haven’t got to read my last post you can find that HERE. Until next post!
Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog. Happy Monday! I am so happy it’s finally holiday break for my oldest. And it’s even more insane that Christmas is literally this week. I had a list of Christmas posts lined up and am going to try and get them out before Christmas or at least before December is over. For today’s post I’ll be talking about my winter skincare tips. This winter has been brutal …least for me. And trust me if you follow these tips your skin will love you!
Tip 1: Hydration
One thing I learned that’s one of the most important steps to skincare is hydration. Yes, even if your an oily skin type you still need hydration. If you lack the hydration this can actually cause your skin then to produce more oils. With this issue it can cause you to even look more oily. When you keep up with your hydration your skin can then become e balanced and you’ll have less problems. In the winter because its so cold our skin demands more hydration. You are going to want to as much as possible with the right moisturizer for your face hydrate your face morning and night.
Tip 2: Sunscreen
Believe or not but yes even in the winter you need sunscreen. Trust me in my beginnings as an anesthetic in school I didn’t want to believe this rule. But every season you need sunscreen to protect your skin from the rays. This is because the sun reflects off the snow and can then affect your skin. Sunscreen should be applied in the mornings before you leave your house. I suggest a few minutes before leaving so that it takes a while to sink into your skin. It’s also good to apply throughout the day as needed. Keep this tip up and it will make a big long term difference in your skin.
Tip 3: Water Intake
This last tip kinda goes hand and hand with the first. The more water we drink the more our skin will be hydrated. I feel like this will help or skin stay clear and make a huge impact in the feel and look of our skin. Also the more water we drink while staying on a daily regimen will help our skin stay perfect majority of the time. I am not going to lie it’s so hard for me to drink water. And when I do and I am doing great for awhile I always fall off and am back on my sugary drinks. Luckily I barely break out and I have pretty clear skin already but I do get dry skin. And I know it would make a huge impact in helping my skin if I just drink water. Not only does it keep your skin clear and plump but also it will help your hair and cleanse your system from toxins.
Thanks for reading today’s post, I hope one of these three tips help you this winter. What are some skincare challenges are you facing this winter? Like & comment I always love reading your comments! Also if you haven’t read my last post you can find that HERE.
Hey everyone, welcome back. First things first I was suppose to have a blog up Monday morning. But due to me throwing my youngest daughter her first birthday Sunday night I literally got thrown off schedule. I was so busy Sunday night I didn’t even get to start half of my post. I was deciding if I should put up Monday post for Tuesday and keep Wednesday post the same. But that would be too close of a catch up for me so I am now posting Monday’s post today Wednesday. For today’s post I wanted to talk about the three major things I wish I knew before starting a blog. Now this is going to be my raw thoughts based on my experiences.
Initially I started blogging when I only had my oldest. At the time I started she was about four years old started school. I decided to quit my job and was fed up in my field of work and that’s when I decided to start my dream and start a blog. Now since in the days I had a lot of time of my hands I had time to meet my deadlines and post whenever I planned on posting. Now obviously things and life has changed but before starting a blog I never knew the amount of time in and time loss I’d have. Now that I am a mom of two I have loss time on post schedules and sacrifice uploads for sleep. I never knew the difficulties of blogging while being a mom and wife.
Another major difficulty’s many bloggers have is gaining traffic. Being a blogger I have realized time and traffic go hand in hand. If you want more traffic and interaction you always need to put time in. This has been the hardest for me especially when I don’t get to make out time a specific day because that week or day can just be busy for me. Usually kids never really want to go by your schedule you just have to go with their schedule. Sometimes this makes me feel like am not getting anywhere with my blog especially if I see my traffic go down a bit. I always try and remember to try and motivate myself to keep going and remember why I started my blog. Another tip I use is to try and find the day and time I can fit in my blogging and social media time into my schedule even if it is for an hour. Sometimes I even include my mommy time, for example taking pictures of my toddlers outfits and using them for my Instagram post.
In conclusion, the last and not least is interaction. I never knew how hard it is to get and gain social interaction on social media with other fellow bloggers. I find this the most frustrating thing ever being a blogger. I know it involves vice versa but i find it really irritating. It’s even harder for me being a mommy blogger since I can’t be on so much and I go M.I.A for a few days so I don’t get to interact online. Whenever I do I swear I get 0-2 responses back, I mean if I get 1-2 that’s a start but it’s really hard. The hardest platform is instagram and I know it’s not just me as a blogger but for a lot of other bloggers too. I decided to put in more motives when being more social online. I do admit that I am an introvert so I can be a little more outgoing and open online. I realized doing this can help grow my platform grow more and also for Instagram. It can also show my follows who I am more and it’s one way people will interact more with you as a blogger. Furthermore it’s the best way to overcome our challenges as bloggers to to change and find solutions that can work for us to fix these challenges we have.
Thank you all for reading this post. If you haven’t read my last blog post you can find that HERE. Please tune into a new post next Monday 9AM EST standard time. I hope you all found this post helpful, if you have anything you wish you knew before blogging please let me know in the comments! Please like, comment and follow! I always love to hear from you all!
Hey everyone, and welcome back to another blog post! Happy Wednesday I can’t believe it’s fall already. This is one of my favorite seasons. I feel so inspired since fall as arrived, I have decided to make November more lifestyle post. I want to this month do more posts on my life. So for today’s post I am going to talk about my mommy daily routine. Now since my youngest is a baby soon to be one, my morning routines sometimes ends up different. You know with babies it’s more you following their lead then them listening to you.
The first thing to my morning routine is I wake up at 7:15Am. This is to get my oldest daughter up to brush her teeth and get ready for school. I try to get up as soon as my alarm goes off but to be honest sometimes I can’t and I lay there till 7:30am. So while my daughter is brushing her teeth I go in her room and try to get an outfit ready for her. Sometimes during this time my youngest is still sleeping and sometimes she’s up already. If she is up I will leave her in her crib and turn on her favourite show. And when she is still asleep I usually just leave Alexa running and close the door.
Next after my daughter finishes brushing and I have her ready we head down stairs for breakfast. So if the baby is awake I will head down ahead of time and have her in her high chair and give her something to munch on. I will then get my oldest something for breakfast while I make her lunch at the same time. A super mom moment lol. I am usually doing this till 8:00Am or till 8:15Am it all depends. I usually then put on the baby favourite show down stairs also while she eats it helps distract her while I am making lunch and breakfast. After I am done all that I leave them to run and brush my teeth, fix my hair. I then after get ready and make sure I have everything by the door. By then the time is 8:30Am and we always try to leave on time. I then try and get the kids by the door dressed and ready to leave. My daughter school starts at 8:45Am and it literally takes us 15 minutes to walk. And that is usually our routine every morning literally my weekday.
Downtime, as soon as I get back from dropping my oldest off. Now this is my favourite time in the day. I don’t know if it’s cause am still tired but I love as soon as I get back and I get a little bit of relaxation in. After I get back me and my youngest head up stairs and back in bed lol. I then either let her watch a little bit more of her show depends on her mood or I put on mine. And then we both relax, I usually relax till 11:00am …yup 9 till 11:00am. And this is because between those times my youngest goes back to sleep so I wait it out. Then usually throughout the day am either cleaning, let her get her exercise in. I also plan out what am doing for my blog and manage my social media pages. This goes on until 3:00pm, by that time it’s time for me to head back to get my oldest. And that is pretty much my morning routine from Monday to a Friday.
Thank you all for reading, I will most likely put up my night routine as a mommy blogger next. If you haven’t got to read my last post you can find that HERE. Please give it a read, this is the first post of November and it also gives an update on what has been happening. There will be a new post up by Monday 9:00amEST.
