Hello everyone and welcome back to another blog post ! Happy Monday I hope you’re Monday morning is going well so far. Mine of course and full of sleep deprivation as always but got to keep the blogs going, I am doing so well keeping up this schedule. I knew the more I keep up my blogging the sooner or later I’d find a posting schedule.
For today’s blog post is beauty related, let’s talk about the best beauty advice I’d received or even given. To be honest I somewhat remember some advice but this is a broad subject but I’d do my best. This is all the advice I have been given…
Keep a clean face before applying make up! Wash you face – This removes all dirt and pollution from your face so you can have a fresh face before applying make up. And it also helps your make up apply better !
Match your foundation from your neck not your hand – This is such an great advice I received in college in my make up program, your neck is actually the closet tone to your face NOT your hand.
Don’t leave your make up brushes in the bathroom – I mean how many of us wash our brushes and lay it down and sometimes don’t think to actually put it somewhere to dry? I know I’ve done it. Your going to want to lay your brushes near a window or dry clean area, when leaving it in the bathroom your brushes is actually picking up a lot of bathroom particles in the air and then this get applied to your face !
Keep your makeup brushes clean frequently – This one is a hard one for me but yes the best thing to to constantly keep up with keeping your brushes clean. A clean brushes equals a clean pimple free face.
Not everyone needs to contour their nose ! And contour the sides NOT the tip of the nose ! – I know this one is going to be a hard one for a lot but yeah not all nose shapes need to be contoured, this is one of the best tips I’ve received in college. We all have different shapes so why do they all need to be contoured the same?
Now for the makeup advice I have given or most likely would have given to someone …
Take care of you skin first then makeup – Taking care of your face first helps achieve the best make up application and also helps keep your skin healthy.
Apply mascara to your lashes not your false – This is a trick I actually came up with (in lash post), applying mascara first helps your false blend in well with your natural lash and also maximises your false lash life span.
Applying caster oil or Vaseline at night to lashes or brows help them grow – Yup, its true ! These two products help moisturise your lashes and brows and when applied often your lashes and brows grow quit a bit.
Brushing your brows often stimulates your brows to grow – This practice helps stimulate the root and when done often this allows growth, am one to say it has worked for me.
Have a separate towel for your face to dont use your “body” towel – This I actually never thought of, but if using the same towel for everywhere on your body and then used to wipe your face this can actually cause acne and pimples etc.
I hope some of these advice was helpful in some way, I am so sorry on late posting. I have been so busy this morning, I do now have a consistent posting schedule which are Mondays and Wednesdays. I will always post these days unless I got an extra blog post but I would let you know. Thanks for reading I hope you all have a great Monday !
Good morning everyone, welcome back to another blog post. Happy Monday back to a whole new week, I hope everyone morning is going good so far? I noticed I haven’t been doing much make up haul or posts lately and I want to start posting more posts related to beauty for the next upcoming weeks. I decided to do a post on my current favourite lip products I am loving so far, I am so obsessed with these products I am using these four for pretty much every make up look I do. The first three I am obsessed with is from the Fenty beauty line, I am loving the glosses and lipstick. I love the texture and how it feels I first bought the shimmering rose nude loved that and had to try the diamond milk one. I was first hesitant to buying it because I honestly thought it would be like all the other clear glosses but I decided to give it a try, it was more like a last minute quick pick up purchase. But to be honest I love it as much as the fenty glow one it is pretty much the same result I love how it just looks on me. One of the things I love about the fenty beauty line is that the beauty products she makes is for all skin tones and women everywhere, and that is one thing the beauty industry needs more for women. As a women of colour one of the hard things for me when it comes to buying products especially either foundation or lip shades is that its hard for me to find ones that match or go with me perfectly. This is a brand I would continually buy from, I haven’t tried wearing it over other lip shades I usually just wear it alone.
The next product shown that I love is the Blackup gloss, I got this on sale but sadly I found out that it is not for sale on the Sephora site anymore and I am not sure if it would be back. So backup is a brand dedicated to women of colour and it was developed by women of colour and it caters to women of darker skin tones. This is one of the reasons why I fell in love with this product it does what the brand says, this gloss looks so good on me it blends in so well with my skin tone. The gloss is kind of like a clear gloss with a nude undertone it carries different under tone colours, so you can get a rose tone or a more brown tone and etc that is the best way I can explain since I cant bring it up on sephora. The gloss doesn’t come off to sticky the only issue is that when used it sometimes comes out separated from the colour so sometimes clear gloss comes out first then it coming out together.
So those are so far all and current favourite lip products am using when doing my make up. I do not want to go further in more detail with these because i just currently did a Sephora review post on my blog and I did go through these products already. But I wanted to do a separate post on what am currently loving at the moment for winter, if you haven’t tried fenty yet I recommend you do I can not find one thing I dont like. And if you are a women of colour and find it hard like me finding shades that go with your skin tone there is your brand, even if you are not of colour you can also check out the brand they have other products pretty much any one of any shade can still use. That is it for today’s post like & comment i love hearing from you all my next post will be up Wednesday at 3pm Toronto time lol, I am so happy I am finally on a posting schedule!
Good morning everyone! And welcome to another blog post. I am excited because today I can finally get two blog posts out for this week, I finally have settled on a schedule I can work with to get back to being consistent. For today’s post I decided to do a post on make up application, tomorrow is finally Christmas and its the best time to put out a make up post. From since having my blog I get questions on make up and lash application, I’ve also get tons of questions away from my blog. I decided to do a post make up application step by step for those who would like ideas on the application process.
Skin Perpetration – If its one thing I had learn while I was studying to become an esthetican it was that our face is the base to any make up application. So if you want a smooth glowing make up application it starts with the face. Another great thing to learn is that every girl wants that perfect application but if you suffer from skin issues example severe oily skin, breakouts, pimples, dry skin and dont treat these issues and cover it up I am letting you know it wont help. Everything underneath needs to be treated first before covering it up, if its not then you wont get the perfect foundation you need for putting on a great application.
Products made for you! – One big mistake I noticed a lot of girls and older women do that hey I even have done is buy products not for you. Now to get a great application you also have to get the products your skin needs and to also make your application last longer. Your probably wondering ” But how do I know what my skin needs?” well we would need to analyse our skin and get to know it. But there is a difference between “Skin Type” and “Skin Condition”, everyone has a skin type but not everyone has a skin condition. The difference between skin type and condition is conditions can be dehydration, dryness, sun damage, hyper pigmentation ,wrinkles and acne. Which skin types are normal, dry, oily, combination and sensitive. When we start getting to know what our skin needs and is lacking we will then have a better understanding of what make up and skin care to buy.
The Right Products – Okay! So you studied your skin, next would be buying the right skin products and make up for your skin. We all love recommending the next best product that came out but do we ever ask our self “Wait! is it for my skin!?” and then we wondering why our foundation is turning orange or why this foundation is making your skin oily. The next step would be to buy the right skincare and picking out the right products either it be Sephora or MAC.
Products – When buying the right products it serves good to your skin when you either a make up lover (like myself) or occasionally wear make up. Buying the right foundation, primer, setting powder and moisturiser make a big deal when its made for your skin it makes your application come out flawless and lasting so much longer. Also a bonus to doing this is one your skin will love you and second your skin will less break out give problems because your using products that is helping your skin while getting to wear as much make up as you would like.
Using these four tools will help you with your make up application process, when applying anything over your skin you want the base to be looking great for whatever that goes on top to look great. Look at everything like this, if you have a lot of acne or dry patches and old skin cells on your skin and you dont properly wash you face or prep it for make up and just apply your make up will come out uneven and looking dull and wouldn’t last that long. You 100% want to remember to always have a perpetration before anything, your skin will start to allow improvements. I hope all this info helps, I will soon make a second half to this post on the actually make up application process. Remember to like & comment I always love to hear from you all. Thanks for reading and I hope you all have a great rest of your day!
