April Monthly Wrap Up

Hey everyone, and welcome back. Its crazy to say but we are officially at the end of April! I find that insane because the other day I was saying that its crazy its April already but here we are going into May. New month for new goals to achieve. For today’s post I wanted to do my monthly wrap up for the month. And talk about my goals I achieved and plans for the month of May. Even tho I will talk about it in my May post.

Month of April

I can honestly say April was such a good month for me and my blog. I put in extra effort for promoting my posts and it paid off. The top goal I achieved this month was more views. It feels so good to finally reach where I wanted to be for the longest while. Its not much, some might find the amount of views not that much to be celebrated but every milestone is something to celebrate. I am hoping I break my milestone by tomorrow! One big change I noticed is that I have stopped rushing blog posts. I now put my time and effort into my topics and take more time to type them. I mean dont get me wrong my past posts were worth it but I always felt compelled to always be throwing a post out to catch up on my views for the month. Therefore I noticed some did not even get enough views.

Now that I slow down and think about what I want to write about and the popular topics that people will be looking about I have seen a change in my blog. One other thing I love that I did was change up my days and timing. Moving my upload to 3pm in the afternoon made a big change. I got more views from since doing that especially now during isolation.

Check out April’s Wrap Up if you haven’t “Hello April”

May

To be honest I dont have much goals set for May. One goal id probably just want to set is achieving the same amount of views I did for the month of April. Still lining up post topics for through out the month to have to help upload for posts to my site. And in all honesty that is about it lol. I never want to set too much for myself. Especially with being indoors all day with kids and helping my oldest with online schooling I dont have time. And I wouldn’t want to set too much of goals for myself and I already know I wouldn’t do them. The best thing for is is slow and steady and its working! Its funny how you can discover things jut by doing them on accident.

I also did notice in April an increase of search engine results with a mixture of some from pinterest that is what more increased my views on my page. I am hoping I get even more in May.

Conclusion

And that is it for my monthly wrap up, I know its not much but I always still love to share what has happen during my months blogging and what I have been doing that may help someone who just started blogging. And I am so sorry if I may have repeated anything I am always trying to remember info I may have not told but I may have I dont know lol. I hope you all enjoyed today’s post and let me know what are your goals for your blog in the month of May. Also if you haven’t got to catch up with my past posts you can find them below. Sephora Unboxing

Hey everyone, welcome back. For today’s post I am going to do a Sephora unboxing. I have not done a haul in a long while. To be honest I haven’t ordered in a long time from Sephora. I just haven’t had time even to do my make up since giving birth to my second daughter. But I have decided I want to get back into my makeup. I also really want to get into doing makeup videos soon. And of course I will let you all know when I start.

This will be so different for me since am an introvert. But it can’t hurt to try something new and who knows I might end up loving it.

Sephora

Mario Badescu

I got two products from Mario badescu. I am excited to try these out because I’ve been wanting to try his brand for awhile. But of course I didn’t get into buying it for the longest until now. I feel like am left out because I know so many people have tried his products already. Therefore I got his enzyme cleansing gel and his aloe cucumber facial spray.

The enzyme cleansing gel is a daily face wash that has papaya and grapefruit extract. This product is pretty much for all skin types also. This helps with oiliness, uneven texture and fullness of the skin. The papaya helps with the rejuvenation and refreshes the skin and grapefruit does the same also. But they helps remove the excess oil that is in the skin. And improve the complexion of your skin.

The facial spray I got is a aloe, green tea and cucumber. Anyone can use this product for their skin type. This product helps improve dryness in the skin and help wake your skin. The green tea in the product helps on antioxidant benefit. Cucumber replenishes and tones your skin and the peppermint drives a soothing feel. This brand also carries two more facial mists.

The Ordinary

For the last and final product I got was the ordinary niacinamide 10% + zinc 1%. This product is for all skin types. It is a vitamin/mineral formula made for skin with blemishes. This product will work best for anyone with high amount of oiliness and also work for pores. But like i’ve stated it can work for all skin types, but if you are a oily skin type this product is a must in your skin care regimen. Niacinamide is a vitamin that reduce skin blemishes on the skin. It also balances the high levels of sebum.

In conclusion, and that is my sephora unboxing haul. Thank you to all who read today’s post. I hope I informed you on enough information if you are interested in buying any of these products. I will do an review after trying out the products for awhile. Please like, share and leave a comment! If you haven’t read my last few posts they will be below.

5 Reasons to start a blog today

Hey everyone, welcome back. Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone is doing well. For today’s post I wanted to talk about reasons why you should start a blog. Now I of course already started one, and am currently in the process of starting another one based on for my two daughters. But it’s always good to reflect on why you started your site in the first place.

blog

It’s always good to find reasons to start a blog but it’s also good to think why. Reflecting on the question why also helps you build your brand and think about what your site is going to be about. This brings everything all together. Therefore like your site name, what the name is about and niches you’ll build on.

5 Reasons
  • Therapeutic
  • Income
  • Build a Business
  • Hobby
  • Support

BLOG

Reasons to why

One of the reasons to starting a blog can be many, but one of the first reasons i have is therapeutic reasons. Using writing to destress is one of my top reasons to starting a blog. Looking forward to the afternoon or at the end of the night to write about one of my favourite niche helps me a lot. This can help a lot especially to anyone to needing something to just vent to. You can always start a lifestyle site.

Although a lot of people always say to start something for the love of it first some might want to start for income purposes. I mean why not? If your good at writing and marketing then go for it! A lot might turn to blogging to start a brand and business at home and make it a full time career. Or even if your a mom and need to be at home doing this can bring in extra income. Therefore turning something you love and bringing marketing or finding a way to monetize it is an excellent idea for anyone.

Building a business? Turning your site into a full time business can be a reason to start! Now I am just going to disclose that I don’t know much about business my husband knows far more than I do. Due to my profession I know a little. Building your own site off of doing something you love is a great start to putting yourself out there.

Now if your not into business related field or not that much into the blog world. Just doing it for the love is a reason to also start. You don’t have to build your site into a full blown business. Starting one just for the love and joy of it is a great reason. This reason also goes with my last and final reason which is support. Starting one can give so much support out there and help anyone. Building one for mental health, mommy’s out there or even writing about your life means something. You can be reaching out to someone, also supporting them in anyway possible.

In conclusion, there is several reasons to start. But all it takes is for you to actually start now! There is several people out their waiting to read what you got to offer. I hope I helped you in some way to start your site. Hopefully one of these reasons related with you. Thanks to everyone for taking the time to read my post. If you haven’t read my last few posts you can find them below.

My 2019 In Review

Hey everyone, welcome back to another blog post. Welcome to my last blog post of the year. I can’t believe am at my last blog post of the year. Another year down of blogging for me, it’s insane. Feels like yesterday when I pick up my laptop and decided to start a blog right there and then. For today’s post I wanted to talk about my 2019 year in a review.

2019 pics

Beginning of 2019

The start of 2019 was year two of my blog. It has grown so much from since starting in 2018. I wanted to achieve a lot this year with my blog and I can say am somewhat pleased and happy with the outcome. I did have a totally different outcome when it came to views and traffic. Last year at the beginning of 2018 I did get pregnant with my second daughter and totally fell off from blogging. This decline my views and traffic a whole lot. I stopped blogging due to always sleeping and just the just of pregnancy symptoms. I started back December 2018 and decided to work and gain back my audience in 2019. Beginning of the year was pretty tough when finding the time to blog due to me finding how to manage two kids especially a newborn.

Middle of the year

Middle of my year was pretty great for 2019. It was exciting watching my baby grow into a one year old. My oldest turning six and this year was my two year anniversary with my husband. We spent our time on our first trip away from the kids. I also did a post about that which you can find that HERE. My views for my blog in the middle of the year were pretty good. To be honest with you all they weren’t as big of a number as I wanted it to be but they were larger then last year. I am happy because I was still where I wanted to be and I made progress. I am actually surprised I kept up with my blog in the summer due to me moving which was a huge change for me. I had to adapt to moving out into the country from the city. I need to develop a new schedule that fit with me and find a time to do my blogging. The summer I got actually a good amount of high views which I was happy about. I would say most of my views was from early on in the year towards the summer. I’m happy that I got to accomplish my goal.

Ending of 2019

The last few months, I would say was my hardest to adjust and maintain my blog page. And to be honest throughout this year I had periods of when I was disappointed. And I would would wonder if I should even continue at all. I felt like I wasn’t reaching where I wanted to be even though I did accomplish some goals on views throughout the year. I decided not to put out any blog posts for the month of October. This is because my mom life took over a lot that month I tried planning for that month and was unsuccessful. I decided to use that month and plan for November and take a break. For the month of November my youngest turned one, I officially have a toddler.

If I had to give advice to someone about blogging, especially a mom blogger. I’ve learned this year (trying to remember) that it’s okay to feel discouraged sometimes. That’s every blogger route is different for some it may come easier and for some it might just take us a little bit longer. That all I can do is keep making goals and working hard. And that it’s fine if I have periods I need a break family always comes first. Overall am not to upset about 2019 progress, and hopefully 2020 is much better. Thank you all for reading. Please comment, share and like! If you haven’t read my last post you can find that HERE.

Glow Recipe Watermelon Sleeping Mask

Hey everyone, welcome back to another blog post! I hope everyone is having a great week so far. I can’t believe it’s Thursday already we’re pretty much more half way through the week. It’s crazy starting next week Tuesday it’s back to school over here. There was supposed to be a blog post posted yesterday but because of the craziness I decided to try and get one out today. For today’s blog post I am going to be doing my full thought on the glow recipe sleeping mask.

The glow recipe sleeping mask is a radiance boosting and skin smoothing mask. This mask has watermelon and hyaluronic acid also AHA’s that gently exfoliate the skin while you sleep! Anyone can pretty much use this mask it is for dry, normal, combination and oily skin types. This mask helps with your pores, dryness and your daily oil concerns. The main ingredients in this mask are of course watermelon, which helps with skin inflammation and it also helps hydrate the skin while you sleep. Also as stated hyaluronic acid this also helps hydrate the skin and the AHA’s in the product helps exfoliate, brighten and remove dead skin cells from the skin. One of the top reasons why I am loving this product is because it states it is a pillow proofing product. The mask is also vegan and cruelty free!

glow recipe

I used this product a couple times, I wanted to get the full on feel of the product before I decided how I like the product. First off I love the texture of the sleeping mask. I do not love how it feels at first when applying, I love the feel after words when worked in. I feel like its feels a bit sticky when at touch and applying. I love how I dont need a huge amount of product when applying the mask. I made sure to read the application steps online before using the product. And you honestly only need a small amount, a little goes a long way.

How to use: For a sleeping mask your going to want to use a generous layer. If you are a dry skin type simply apply a dime size amount onto the skin. When applying the product you would pat the product then rubbing the product in. The product does have different instructions if you want to use it as a wash off mask instead. But it is ideal if you have stressed skin or sensitive (inflamed). Instead you would just apply a thick amount of the product. Let the product sit for about 10 minutes then you would rinse off with lukewarm water.

glow recipe

In overall I would most likely use this mask for part of my night time routine. I love the packaging for glow recipe and their general color for the brand. I am planning on purchasing more of their products. The watermelon glow ultra fine mist, avocado melt retinal sleeping mask and pineapple C brighting serum I really want to try. If any of you have bought any of these products and tried them out let me know how you like them! Thank you all for reading and until the next blog post! If you haven’t go and check out my last recent post HERE.
