New Year Goals

Hey everyone, welcome back to another blog post and my first post of 2020. I just would like to say happy new year to everyone. I hope you all had a great start to the new year and I hope you accomplish all your goals. For this year i am setting goals for myself and hopefully sticking to it. I wanted to share my list and talk about some goals I wanted to achieve for this year. I have done a couple posts in the past on different goals I’ve wanted to achieve. Gain Traffic

Let’s face it, for some of us bloggers coming up with a marketing strategy for traffic comes easy. And for some (like me) becomes difficult. This year I’ve decided to put in more time on my blog when it comes to Pinterest and work harder in driving traffic to my page.

Sticking to schedule

One thing I really want to do, that’s always at the top of my list is sticking to my consistent schedule. Now I know I can’t get mad if I trail off. Being a mom of two a wife and a blogger is a hectic schedule. Sometimes my kids schedule just don’t fall in place with my blog schedule and posts go un typed or unscheduled. But this year I want maybe a little less of that. I want to stay consistent and organized, plan posts ahead type some up ahead so I can get more content out there. So far into 2020 I have not started this goal but here I am trying.

Staying up to date with social media

This goal kinda goes hand and hand with my goal of staying consistent. I feel like if everything isn’t staying consistent and am not posting then I won’t reach my amount of traffic I want. The most social media platform I usually fall off on random days are twitter. And this is because with Twitter you have to sit and read tweets and take time out your day to tweet. As a busy mom I don’t get much time to do this so I don’t bother to go on everyday. And for Instagram it’s the lack of finding what I want to post. Staying consistent with my colour feed making sure what I want to post goes with my feed. And to be honest it’s all hard lol.

Pinterest

Pinterest, the number one social media platform that every blogger is using. Also if you don’t have me yet on Pinterest please add me HERE. Now I am always trying to find time to piñon Pinterest. I love going on there for fashion inspiration or hairstyles for my girls, whenever I can grab my iPad am always pinning. But that hard thing is finding the right time to pin my content. Or even making the right blog graphics, and making sure you got a great photo. This year I want to actually sit and start making my Pinterest strategy. I never actually took the time to create one it was more when I got the time I’d just pin. But what are some strategies that worked for you all? Please let me know in the comments.

Improving Skills

I am always trying to improve my photography skills. Especially for Instagram or even if it is for any blog content. People are always attracted to a good photo. I have came a long way with this, at the start of my blog career my photos were pretty awful on my blog. But along the way I learned how to improve my skills. But hey that’s the way we can learn and get better. I really want to improve my Instagram content a lot and gain more engagement. Hopefully I can stick to it and actually do it this year.

In my three package I received the silver mask which is the charcoal clay, a yellow royal honey and a pink which helps with collagen. So far using their products I haven’t had any problem with them. The masks are great on my skin and they haven’t caused my skin to break out whatsoever. I even have been using the applicator to apply my flow recipe sleeping mask. As for results i honestly haven’t been seeing a difference in my skin. My Winter Skincare – Top Tips

Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog. Happy Monday! I am so happy it’s finally holiday break for my oldest. And it’s even more insane that Christmas is literally this week. I had a list of Christmas posts lined up and am going to try and get them out before Christmas or at least before December is over. For today’s post I’ll be talking about my winter skincare tips. This winter has been brutal …least for me. And trust me if you follow these tips your skin will love you!

Tip 1: Hydration

One thing I learned that’s one of the most important steps to skincare is hydration. Yes, even if your an oily skin type you still need hydration. If you lack the hydration this can actually cause your skin then to produce more oils. With this issue it can cause you to even look more oily. When you keep up with your hydration your skin can then become e balanced and you’ll have less problems. In the winter because its so cold our skin demands more hydration. You are going to want to as much as possible with the right moisturizer for your face hydrate your face morning and night.

Tip 2: Sunscreen

Believe or not but yes even in the winter you need sunscreen. Trust me in my beginnings as an anesthetic in school I didn’t want to believe this rule. But every season you need sunscreen to protect your skin from the rays. This is because the sun reflects off the snow and can then affect your skin. Sunscreen should be applied in the mornings before you leave your house. I suggest a few minutes before leaving so that it takes a while to sink into your skin. It’s also good to apply throughout the day as needed. Keep this tip up and it will make a big long term difference in your skin.

Tip 3: Water Intake

This last tip kinda goes hand and hand with the first. The more water we drink the more our skin will be hydrated. I feel like this will help or skin stay clear and make a huge impact in the feel and look of our skin. Also the more water we drink while staying on a daily regimen will help our skin stay perfect majority of the time. I am not going to lie it’s so hard for me to drink water. And when I do and I am doing great for awhile I always fall off and am back on my sugary drinks. Luckily I barely break out and I have pretty clear skin already but I do get dry skin. And I know it would make a huge impact in helping my skin if I just drink water. Not only does it keep your skin clear and plump but also it will help your hair and cleanse your system from toxins.

My 2019 In Review

Hey everyone, welcome back to another blog post. Welcome to my last blog post of the year. I can’t believe am at my last blog post of the year. Another year down of blogging for me, it’s insane. Feels like yesterday when I pick up my laptop and decided to start a blog right there and then. For today’s post I wanted to talk about my 2019 year in a review.

Beginning of 2019

The start of 2019 was year two of my blog. It has grown so much from since starting in 2018. I wanted to achieve a lot this year with my blog and I can say am somewhat pleased and happy with the outcome. I did have a totally different outcome when it came to views and traffic. Last year at the beginning of 2018 I did get pregnant with my second daughter and totally fell off from blogging. This decline my views and traffic a whole lot. I stopped blogging due to always sleeping and just the just of pregnancy symptoms. I started back December 2018 and decided to work and gain back my audience in 2019. Beginning of the year was pretty tough when finding the time to blog due to me finding how to manage two kids especially a newborn.

Middle of the year

Middle of my year was pretty great for 2019. It was exciting watching my baby grow into a one year old. My oldest turning six and this year was my two year anniversary with my husband. We spent our time on our first trip away from the kids. I also did a post about that which you can find that HERE. My views for my blog in the middle of the year were pretty good. To be honest with you all they weren’t as big of a number as I wanted it to be but they were larger then last year. I am happy because I was still where I wanted to be and I made progress. I am actually surprised I kept up with my blog in the summer due to me moving which was a huge change for me. I had to adapt to moving out into the country from the city. I need to develop a new schedule that fit with me and find a time to do my blogging. The summer I got actually a good amount of high views which I was happy about. I would say most of my views was from early on in the year towards the summer. I’m happy that I got to accomplish my goal.

Ending of 2019

The last few months, I would say was my hardest to adjust and maintain my blog page. And to be honest throughout this year I had periods of when I was disappointed. And I would would wonder if I should even continue at all. I felt like I wasn’t reaching where I wanted to be even though I did accomplish some goals on views throughout the year. I decided not to put out any blog posts for the month of October. This is because my mom life took over a lot that month I tried planning for that month and was unsuccessful. I decided to use that month and plan for November and take a break. For the month of November my youngest turned one, I officially have a toddler.

If I had to give advice to someone about blogging, especially a mom blogger. I’ve learned this year (trying to remember) that it’s okay to feel discouraged sometimes. That’s every blogger route is different for some it may come easier and for some it might just take us a little bit longer. That all I can do is keep making goals and working hard. And that it’s fine if I have periods I need a break family always comes first. Overall am not to upset about 2019 progress, and hopefully 2020 is much better. Thank you all for reading. 3 Things that get me in the Christmas spirit

Hey everyone, welcome back to another post. Finally I am getting a Christmas related post up. I am feeling the Christmas spirit these days ! And now I my post you will get to know the three things that get me in this mood. Now before I start I am so happy I got to get a post up this week. Also I know my normal post days are Monday’s and Thursdays but lately I’ve been way off my posting schedules. And because of that don’t just lookout for those post days but just know I will at least put out a post once a week. Or well at least try to that’s my goal.

Music

Who doesn’t enjoy Christmas music? I know my husband doesn’t as much so I know their is quite a few of people who don’t. But that’s gets me in the spirt for the end of November. I swear as soon as it’s November am ready for those Christmas songs. Although their quite repetitive I never ever get tired of hearing Christmas music. I love putting it on through out the day while I clean and get things done and I always love letting it play while I put my girls to sleep at night. I can tell you now am for sure going to miss those jingles once December is over.

Lights

Lights are another way of feeling good! From ever since I was a kid I love seeing those Christmas lights up. I must say it’s enjoyable while driving throughout Toronto especially downtown also. I love seeing the different colors and decorating ideas each house has. My oldest loves seeing all the different lights while we are out and about. This gets me in a great mood.

Giving

Now I know for some the downside to Christmas is spending. Trust me it hurts my pockets by November knowing the amount of money I’ll be losing or the possibility of even using credit cards around that times hurt my head. But I love the feeling around this time of giving. I already love the joys of shopping and I love it more giving to family and buying for my two girls. I feel it’s even more exciting at this age when their kids. I always try to remember to take in this time as much as possible when their this small because before you know it they will be teenagers.
