Hey everyone, welcome back to another blog post! Happy Tuesday I hope everyone weekend went well? I sadly had to schedule Monday post for today because of mom life taking over on Sunday, that I honestly forgot to plan and schedule my post. Sunday was simply not my dad it was super busy, but I am happy I got it up now. For today’s blog post I wanted to do an review on the Fenty foundation. I wanted to give my honest opinion on the product since I’ve got to use it a couple times now.

Awhile back I purchased the Fenty Beauty pro filter soft matte long wear foundation, it’s known for a soft matte build-able coverage. Also comes in 50 shades, I have purchased the colour 410. I wanted to give this foundation a try due to me loving the Fenty glosses and the foundation seemed light, also this foundation was matte and am a sucker for matte foundations. I also saw how it was for combination skin types which I am so I decided why not? I purchased the colour in 410 because my skin number I got matched with matched me with that and I saw it somewhat matched my skin tone. Despite it chose that colour I feel like it’s not exactly my skin shade to get it to blend well I have to buff it out a couple times. I also found the shade really bright and comes off really yellow and to tell you the truth I hate foundations that come off with a strong yellow undertone, I find those are the ones that leave you with the “mask” look. The foundation felt light and I found it did give a matte finish, and little goes a long way. I overall ended up somewhat disliking but I feel it was more to Sephora recommending the wrong shade but I feel like it’s because it’s the closest shade to me. I usually use to highlight areas on my face, other then that it’s pretty much less used. I wouldn’t say the foundation is awful but I am currently not loving how this shade blends with me, if this is the only shade for me I don’t see myself using this foundation.

Thanks for reading my review, if you’ve have purchased this foundation what are your thoughts on it? Is it your fav? I love to hear your thoughts, next planned blog post will be up Wednesday at 9am EST!

Hey everyone, welcome back to another blog post. Happy Tuesday I hope everyone had a great weekend, mine was super busy but at least has Sunday to relax a bit and unwind. Its a full busy week for me though hopefully I can get everything needed done. I wanted to start the week off with a current “whats in my makeup bag” post, I have done one a while back and wanted to do an updated one as because a makeup bag never stays the same am I right?

So one thing I have realised is I carry so much more in my makeup bag then before. I believe because of current product obsession and also maybe because of the current season? I live in Toronto, ON so it is currently winter so every season I only carry around products I need or currently need that specific day.

Whats in my makeup bag? So first thing I absolutely need always when am out is the current lipstick or gloss I am wearing that day of course in case I need to reapply. Also what I always need next is sometimes I carry around tissue, the reason is to blot, throughout the day I sometimes get a bit oily around my T zone and chin area and I hate walking around without touching up my face. Another top need is my lash glue, I now wear lashes every time I do a full on face or even if i just do my brows I have to have lashes on. In case a lash pops off I always make sure to have my lash glue. Those are all my top beauty must haves in my make up bag that has to always be there no matter what season, I even keep a lip balm in my bag for dry lips to apply before my lipstick or even if though out the day I dont want lipstick on anymore and just a balm its there. That should be in every beauty bag especially in the winter.

For the other beauty products I have that usually do change related to season, is I always have different primers in my make up bag. This is usually a change for me on mood, if I feel like using one primer I haven’t to in awhile id use it also it depends how my skin is feeling. But the top primer I usually use 90% of the time is the Becca matte primer, this helps me not get a oily face though out the day. So in my beauty bag I also usually have my brow essentials laying in there that isn’t a beauty must I need through out the day but I usually say to myself ” What if I need to fix my brows?” and so because of that I walk around with that also. But to be honest I do carry around a bunch of random things in my beauty bag I dont really need. When I am applying make up I sometimes use products and just then dump it into my bag and I then just leave it and because of this when I do carry around my bag its just packed with some products I dont even need or least at the time. One of the things I noticed I have a lot in my beauty bag is moisturiser I carry around different kinds and this is because of what I just explained, at this time its not so much a bad thing because its currently winter here in Toronto, ON and its pretty bad at the moment and its always good to keep moisturised.

I always love keeping a good mascara in my bag also, and I honestly dont need that around but I love collecting beauty samples from Sephora and I love trying out new mascaras am currently loving the Marc Jacobs one. And I always just throw them into my make up bag as a current habit. A non beauty item I love keeping is a good hair tie, yes I carry around a hair tie this is because anytime I am out and am annoyed of my hair or I need to tie it up I always got one on me. And I know id end up needing one because there has been a couple times when it came in handy. Well ! that is pretty much it for whats in my make up bag, its not a big bag so I do not keep that much in there but hopefully what I may keep in there could help one of you with yours! Also I know again I have been late with Monday post due to being a mom and being sleep deprived hopefully I can get back on track and get my blog posts done by Sunday I hope everyone understands. I hope you guys have a great rest of your Tuesday !

Good afternoon everyone, and welcome back to another post ! Happy Wednesday I hope your Wednesday is going good so far. I am super excited because tomorrow is valentines day, I am not much into this holiday because I believe we should share our love with our loved ones everyday but I just love the fun of it so I do participate with my husband but i try not to go to crazy. But anyways I thought of valentines day and of course comes to my mind is a nice chic red lip. So i decided to do a post on the perfect red lip for us, not many might not know but there is so many shades of red so how do we know which looks best on us?

There is so many varieties of the shade of red, we all learn this in art, they all differ in hue, chroma and lightness. Very fair skin tones the best red shade to look for would be more of a pink tone red, this is because these are much of a cooler tone and would compliment your skin tone. Next would be fair skin tones the best red to go for is more of a blue to red shade this is because this can very much bring out the colour with you tone shade. Olive skin tones are more to work with a red to orange red shade, because of the undertone they have this red shade would make there lips pop ! For a dark skin tone your going to want to work with a full on red lip. More cool based tones look really good on more of a dark skin tone, rather than like a orange based red etc. More darker skin tones go with a lot of different red shades, bright shades compliment their skin tones and really make a statement.

There is a wide variety of reds out there, its best to have some fun and play around and find that red that suits you. I believe every women should have that one red lipstick that suits you, I have one and to be honest I bought it out of spite. I just pick a red lipstick from the kat von D line and I received tones of complements on it like every time I wore it out. And I came to realise that was the shade of red that suited my skin tone and the undertone. When choosing your going to want to always consider your skin undertone, and the three undertones to skin are cool this is pink, red and blueish undertones. The next is warm a yellow, peachy and golden undertones and then next to that is neutral a mix of warm and cool.

Final steps to determine your perfect red lip :

  1. Determine what your skin undertone is whether it be cool or warm.
  2. Warm reds are with warm skin and cool reds for cool skin
  3. Your going to want to match the depth of the shade to the depth of your skin !

And there you have it ! How to determine the perfect red lip for the perfect night out. Thanks for reading I hope this helps, remember to like & comment I always love hearing from you all! My next post will be up this Monday.

A little motivation and positive vibes for the new year, I love a great quote in the morning.

Good morning everyone! And welcome to another blog post. I am excited because today I can finally get two blog posts out for this week, I finally have settled on a schedule I can work with to get back to being consistent. For today’s post I decided to do a post on make up application, tomorrow is finally Christmas and its the best time to put out a make up post. From since having my blog I get questions on make up and lash application, I’ve also get tons of questions away from my blog. I decided to do a post make up application step by step for those who would like ideas on the application process.

  1. Skin Perpetration –  If its one thing I had learn while I was studying to become an esthetican it was that our face is the base to any make up application. So if you want a smooth glowing make up application it starts with the face. Another great thing to learn is that every girl wants that perfect application but if you suffer from skin issues example severe oily skin, breakouts, pimples, dry skin and dont treat these issues and cover it up I am letting you know it wont help. Everything underneath needs to be treated first before covering it up, if its not then you wont get the perfect foundation you need for putting on a great application.
  2. Products made for you! – One big mistake I noticed a lot of girls and older women do that hey I even have done is buy products not for you. Now to get a great application you also have to get the products your skin needs and to also make your application last longer. Your probably wondering ” But how do I know what my skin needs?” well we would need to analyse our skin and get to know it. But there is a difference between “Skin Type” and “Skin Condition”, everyone has a skin type but not everyone has a skin condition. The difference between skin type and condition is conditions can be dehydration, dryness, sun damage, hyper pigmentation ,wrinkles and acne. Which skin types are normal, dry, oily, combination and sensitive. When we start getting to know what our skin needs and is lacking we will then have a better understanding of what make up and skin care to buy.
  3. The Right Products – Okay! So you studied your skin, next would be buying the right skin products and make up for your skin. We all love recommending the next best product that came out but do we ever ask our self “Wait! is it for my skin!?” and then we wondering why our foundation is turning orange or why this foundation is making your skin oily. The next step would be to buy the right skincare and picking out the right products either it be Sephora or MAC.
  4. Products – When buying the right products it serves good to your skin when you either a make up lover (like myself) or occasionally wear make up. Buying the right foundation, primer, setting powder and moisturiser make a big deal when its made for your skin it makes your application come out flawless and lasting so much longer. Also a bonus to doing this is one your skin will love you and second your skin will less break out give problems because your using products that is helping your skin while getting to wear as much make up as you would like.

Using these four tools will help you with your make up application process, when applying anything over your skin you want the base to be looking great for whatever that goes on top to look great. Look at everything like this, if you have a lot of acne or dry patches and old skin cells on your skin and you dont properly wash you face or prep it for make up and just apply your make up will come out uneven and looking dull and wouldn’t last that long. You 100% want to remember to always have a perpetration before anything, your skin will start to allow improvements. I hope all this info helps, I will soon make a second half to this post on the actually make up application process. Remember to like & comment I always love to hear from you all. Thanks for reading and I hope you all have a great rest of your day!
