Glow Recipe Watermelon Sleeping Mask

Hey everyone, welcome back to another blog post! I hope everyone is having a great week so far. I can’t believe it’s Thursday already we’re pretty much more half way through the week. It’s crazy starting next week Tuesday it’s back to school over here. There was supposed to be a blog post posted yesterday but because of the craziness I decided to try and get one out today. For today’s blog post I am going to be doing my full thought on the glow recipe sleeping mask.

The glow recipe sleeping mask is a radiance boosting and skin smoothing mask. This mask has watermelon and hyaluronic acid also AHA’s that gently exfoliate the skin while you sleep! Anyone can pretty much use this mask it is for dry, normal, combination and oily skin types. This mask helps with your pores, dryness and your daily oil concerns. The main ingredients in this mask are of course watermelon, which helps with skin inflammation and it also helps hydrate the skin while you sleep. Also as stated hyaluronic acid this also helps hydrate the skin and the AHA’s in the product helps exfoliate, brighten and remove dead skin cells from the skin. One of the top reasons why I am loving this product is because it states it is a pillow proofing product. The mask is also vegan and cruelty free!

I used this product a couple times, I wanted to get the full on feel of the product before I decided how I like the product. First off I love the texture of the sleeping mask. I do not love how it feels at first when applying, I love the feel after words when worked in. I feel like its feels a bit sticky when at touch and applying. I love how I dont need a huge amount of product when applying the mask. I made sure to read the application steps online before using the product. And you honestly only need a small amount, a little goes a long way.

How to use: For a sleeping mask your going to want to use a generous layer. If you are a dry skin type simply apply a dime size amount onto the skin. When applying the product you would pat the product then rubbing the product in. The product does have different instructions if you want to use it as a wash off mask instead. But it is ideal if you have stressed skin or sensitive (inflamed). Instead you would just apply a thick amount of the product. Let the product sit for about 10 minutes then you would rinse off with lukewarm water.

In overall I would most likely use this mask for part of my night time routine. I love the packaging for glow recipe and their general color for the brand. I am planning on purchasing more of their products. The watermelon glow ultra fine mist, avocado melt retinal sleeping mask and pineapple C brighting serum I really want to try. If any of you have bought any of these products and tried them out let me know how you like them! Thank you all for reading and until the next blog post! If you haven’t go and check out my last recent post HERE.

Coco Cabana Cream

Coco Cabana Review

Hey everyone, welcome back to another blog post! Happy Monday  I hope everyone had a great weekend mine was decently pleasant. For today’s blog post I wanted to do a review for Sol De Janeiro coco cabana cream.

I recently got the sample product in my Ipsy August bag along with other sample products. I have bought the Bum Bum Cream, I believe I have done a review on it you can find it HERE. I have not even thought to try this product because I am loving the scent of the Bum Bum Cream so I was excited to try this one out. And I honestly wish I have decided to try this out sooner! I am absolutely in love with this coco cabana cream scent, I am starting to believe this is my all time favorite scent now.

Coco Cabana Cream

The coco cabana cream is oil in water body cream that instantly hydrates. This product is for all skin types and the main concerns this product supports is dryness, dullness and uneven texture. If you are wondering what the scent type is for the coco cabana cream it is a warm and sweet scent. The key ingredients highlighted in the product are coconut oil, coco sugar and cupuacu butter. One thing I always do before buying any skin related product for my skin is to check is it made for my skin type and what skin concerns is the product helping and would it help me. I always try to avoid buying anything skin products that don’t help my skin type or my needs. It honestly is a waste of money for me because it will go against my skin and because it wasn’t made for it. I also abide by this for my make up purchases also.

I am literally going to buy a bigger size of this product and also get the body mist along with it. This will most likely be my go to scent for awhile. I honestly don’t think am going to get sold on another scent. This has definitely beat the Bum Bum Cream, I love the scent also but it’s something I wouldn’t apply daily because I’d probably after awhile get sick of the scent. But this coconut scent is something I can live for I guess am a warm sweet type of girl.

coco cabana creamWhat are some of your favorite scents? Or are you more prone like me to just sniff around until you come across a scent you love? I guess since I am sold and hooked on the scent I am more a warm sweet scent. I recently came across online on Sol De Janeioro page where they said they have came out with a slightly different scent. I was confused because I dont know if it is the new scent I have or I haven’t smelled that yet. But I am going to purchase the body mist and medium sized bottle of the cream. You can find that HERE from your local sephora.  Thank you all for reading, I hope you all enjoyed! I will be getting a laptop soon, most likely by September. And I will then be back on my blog schedule as usual. See you all in my next post!

Blog Update

Hey everyone, welcome back to another blog post. I just wanted to do a quick blog update somewhat of what has been going on lately. This will sadly affect my blogging schedule and I wanted to let you guys know ahead of time.

This last weekend my laptop has officially gave away and won’t turn on, am assuming I need a new battery. But my laptop has had previous issues also other then the battery giving out so I am thinking of just purchasing a brand new one. At the moment I can’t say when I am purchasing it so for now I will not be putting up much blog posts due to this happening. I can still do everything from my phone like me putting this post up now but it’s not the same to properly edit before publishing. You will randomly see spontaneous posts uploading it’s if I can get a hold of a computer not completely sure. I also had been so busy these last few weeks trying to get things done and it’s been so physically and emotionally draining especially since Toronto has been having heat warnings. I hope soon I can slow down and also get a hold of buying a laptop.

In Conclusion ..

I also still have unpacking to do, and then am also running around doing errands and preparing for a vacation me and my husband is taking for our anniversary. So it’s a lot to take in but I wanted to make sure I put out a blog update post so everyone knows whats going on. These changes will maybe be going on for the rest of the summer, hopefully things get back to its original schedule soon. I will of course still be active on all my social media platforms which you can find here Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

Thank you all for understanding, I will do my best of course on uploading as much content I can. I really do not want to delay much postings I will go insane if I am behind so I will make out the best I can do in this situation. Thank you all for reading, please check out my latest post, Blog Q&A. See you all in my next post!

10 Things I wish I knew

Hello everyone, and welcome back to another post. For today’s blog post I wanted to talk about the 10 things I wish I knew before I started blogging plus blog tips. I have been blogging about little over a year now and I am still up to this day learning about new things. And to be honest with you it is so confusing to me but I try and find my way around. I always tend to think about it as a world I am still trying to learn and figure out. Everyday I am always constantly reading articles and blog tips to educate myself and teach myself what I need to know.

Before blogging I honestly thought of it as you make a site and just write posts. I never knew there was so much more that goes on behind it. Like writing, promoting, marketing your brand and constantly trying to engage with other people. Who knew that you always got to constantly make sure your readers are engaged with your content and always trying to make sure your blog is generating traffic. But although I think about all of this I remember even the most top bloggers out there started just like me. Looking back at my very first posts and photography I have came a very long way and I couldn’t be more proud of myself.

My Top 10

  1. Time
  2. Money
  3. Marketing
  4. Promoting
  5. Consistency
  6. Setting up
  7. Devotion
  8. Balancing
  9. Being unique
  10. Always having to remember why you started

I wish I knew about the amount of time blogging involves, like I said honestly thought you just write a post and that is it. But I have learned its more then that and it all is just organising time. I have also learned that creating a great blog and having the right tools sometimes involves money. I am still investing and learning everything I need to create great content and site. And who know about the amount of time we need to market and always promote ourselves? because I didn’t lol. If had to chose my hardest struggle at the moment it would be constantly generating traffic to my blog. Also as bloggers we sometimes need breaks, I always take a break when its much needed but I always try to get back to blogging as soon as possible.

This helps your readers reading your content and not wonder where you went. Blogging sometimes can become a huge stress, but I always trying to continue to find devotion in what I do. And motivate myself to work everyday this i believe goes hand and hand with balancing. You always want to make sure you have a balanced life and time when you have self care and distress. One thing I always remember when it comes to my blog is always remembering to be and stay unique. There is hundreds of influencers and bloggers out there and the only thing that gets your readers is your uniqueness. No one wants to follow or read someone that is copying someone else or trying to follow someone else.

My last and most final thing I wish someone told me is that you’d always have to remember why you started. We get stressed out and frustrated and that is normal, and all we have to do is remember why we all started. And these are the 10 things I wish i knew, and the best blog tips I can share! Thanks for reading today’s blog post, please like, share and comment! See you all in my next post!
