April Monthly Wrap Up

Hey everyone, and welcome back. Its crazy to say but we are officially at the end of April! I find that insane because the other day I was saying that its crazy its April already but here we are going into May. New month for new goals to achieve. For today’s post I wanted to do my monthly wrap up for the month. And talk about my goals I achieved and plans for the month of May. Even tho I will talk about it in my May post.

Month of April

I can honestly say April was such a good month for me and my blog. I put in extra effort for promoting my posts and it paid off. The top goal I achieved this month was more views. It feels so good to finally reach where I wanted to be for the longest while. Its not much, some might find the amount of views not that much to be celebrated but every milestone is something to celebrate. I am hoping I break my milestone by tomorrow! One big change I noticed is that I have stopped rushing blog posts. I now put my time and effort into my topics and take more time to type them. I mean dont get me wrong my past posts were worth it but I always felt compelled to always be throwing a post out to catch up on my views for the month. Therefore I noticed some did not even get enough views.

Now that I slow down and think about what I want to write about and the popular topics that people will be looking about I have seen a change in my blog. One other thing I love that I did was change up my days and timing. Moving my upload to 3pm in the afternoon made a big change. I got more views from since doing that especially now during isolation.

Check out April’s Wrap Up if you haven’t “Hello April”

May

To be honest I dont have much goals set for May. One goal id probably just want to set is achieving the same amount of views I did for the month of April. Still lining up post topics for through out the month to have to help upload for posts to my site. And in all honesty that is about it lol. I never want to set too much for myself. Especially with being indoors all day with kids and helping my oldest with online schooling I dont have time. And I wouldn’t want to set too much of goals for myself and I already know I wouldn’t do them. The best thing for is is slow and steady and its working! Its funny how you can discover things jut by doing them on accident.

I also did notice in April an increase of search engine results with a mixture of some from pinterest that is what more increased my views on my page. I am hoping I get even more in May.

Conclusion

And that is it for my monthly wrap up, I know its not much but I always still love to share what has happen during my months blogging and what I have been doing that may help someone who just started blogging. And I am so sorry if I may have repeated anything I am always trying to remember info I may have not told but I may have I dont know lol. I hope you all enjoyed today’s post and let me know what are your goals for your blog in the month of May. Also if you haven’t got to catch up with my past posts you can find them below. My daily routine during isolation

Hey everyone, welcome back. Happy Monday! These weeks have been going by quick for me. It’s crazy to think that for the fact we have been stuck in isolation for a few weeks now. I am beginning to find it hard to keep myself busy during the days or least find rest. I thought why not make a post on my daily routine during isolation.

Isolation

Morning’s

Most my mornings start at around after 7am. That is usually the time my youngest daughter wakes up and my oldest. They still on that early school mornings schedule. I lay in bed with my youngest for awhile, scroll through social media for awhile before I get up. I love laying for a bit before I get up. To curve this over I drink a cup of water before I start my day.

I prepare breakfast. My oldest loves waffles usually sometimes eggs and my youngest has fruits and eggs. Forgot to mention in the mornings when my youngest gets up she does have a bottle while we relax in bed. So she usually is still hungry so she gets a plate of breakfast. While the kids eat while watching their programs I get ready and start my breakfast. I usually have either eggs or oatmeal and some fruit. While eating am usually watching a show or scrolling through my phone.

After breakfast the kids usually just watch tv. Since online school has started after breakfast my oldest starts her class work. This is usually a challenge throughout the day because my oldest has a very short attention span. She can be doing one task for hours. So pretty much through the afternoon am trying to get her to focus. My one year old usually gets occupied with her favourite movies and shows or just runs around the house. (I usually don’t do much as in learning yet with her she usually doesn’t stay and would just throw anything). So my oldest does this for awhile and by then my youngest gets ready to go down for her morning nap. This is around from 11 to 12:30pm she starts getting tired.

Afternoon

Usually my oldest can be still doing work or taking a break by then. When she does take her break I then allow her to just play for a bit. This is the time I do my blogging or anything else am trying to get done. My youngest naps for about an hour if a short nap or three hours or so if a long nap. But around this time the afternoon am not really doing much. Also I just want to make a disclaimer that since the quarantine started I have been at my mom and dads place. And since then I haven’t gone back home I’ve been staying with them. I just wanted to state that in case anyone wondering why am not really doing anything lol like if am a wife that does nothing.

Evening

By evening time it is usually down time around then for me. We all are not really doing anything by then. It is mostly time doing activities. From 12pm onwards it’s getting things done and coming up with activities to do.

This leads towards more in the evening. By around 6pm its usually dinner time. By then I get my kids dinner ready, I am then most likely eating by then too. After eating they both run around for a bit. By 7pm its ready to get ready for a bath. After my youngest takes a bath she ready to get ready for bed. She is always down by least 8pm to 9pm on good nights. On bad nights she could take up till 10pm to go down. My oldest is rough for going down at nights so she usually would knock out by 10pm the latest. And no I dont allow that on school nights her bedtime is 8:30pm.

Conclusion

And by that time its me time. I am always looking forward to this time throughout the day especially on tiring days. I mean don’t get me wrong I love spending time with my kids but this quarantine can get the best of us. But there you go my day during isolation. I am sorry if my day seems somewhat boring lol. This is a raw everyday routine from a mommy with two kids. Thank you all for reading. Please like, share and comment. And if you haven’t read my latest posts you can find them below.

Hello April Featured

Hello April

Hey everyone, welcome back. Hello April. A whole new month for more goals to plan and opportunities to take a hold of. I have a whole somewhat list of what my goals are this month and what I want to achieve.

Hello April
Past March Goals

Last month I am happy to say I reached my goals of where I wanted to be. Before I get into how I reached my goals I just want to say I am really proud of myself. I did not reach over a certain number I wanted but I did reach in a place where I haven’t been in awhile and I got the amount of views I wanted. March was a great month for viewers since 2020 has started.

Now I want to point out that from since this pandemic has started it’s actually a time for bloggers to actually get views and for their blog to get SEO. A way I noticed my month got in a ton of views was a lot of search engine search’s being up. I am now making sure my blogs are getting pulled up from searches due to a lot of people being home now. And of course Pinterest too which also works as a search engine.

April Goals

Overall for April, I want to keep the same goals in mind. I want to again for this month to consistently keep writing and planning more blog posts. I also want to keep working on my SEO on all my blog posts. Too many times last year I haven’t got to put in effort for my overall views for the entire month. Therefore for this year especially now since am home and stuck inside I want to take advantage of the time and work on my overall blog and fix whatever needs to be improved.

In Conclusion

In conclusion, for my hello april post. I would just like to continue to encourage you all to keep making goals every month for your blog. Remember to take advantage of your spare time to continue to improve your blog. Hopefully for this month I can achieve the same amount of views for this month like March. Or even achieve more. Thank you all for reading today’s post. If you havent got to catch up on my latest post you can find them below. Please like, share and comment. Why your nails are not growing!

Hey everyone, welcome back to another post. For today’s blog post we will be talking about nails! Nails is a big thing going on now either your growing your nails or some are going for acrylic nails. But I know some women can be wondering why are my nails not growing? Hopefully I can answer some of those questions. I just would like to make a disclaimer that I am giving info I have learned personally from being an esthetican.

Disclaimer: In the name of full transparency, please be aware that this blog post contains affiliate links and any purchases made through such links will result in a small commission for me (at no extra cost for you).”

Giving a break

One of the things I’ve learned since working doing nails and being educated in school. It’s always good to give your nails a break. Just like our hair and skin even our nails need to be nourished. I think we often do not know the amount of stuff we do to our nails can affect its growth, color and strongness. Working as a nail technician at the time i always would get large amounts of questions on “why are my nails are not growing?” or “why is the color not healthy?“. Even to “my nails don’t feel as strong anymore”. And my first answer is “have you gave them a break?” or “have you used your cuticle oil?“. And it’s always a no we often forget that are nails need care too.

Causes & Effect

There can be a lot of causes to why your nails can not be growing. I can’t get into all of them but we can talk about the most common reasons to why they are not. The number one reason now a days to weakness I noticed is a lot of girls and women love to wear acrylic. There is nothing wrong with wearing acrylic, most of the shops are not properly using the right powder and the removal process they do is damaging your nails. Repeating this process over and over is weakness on overtime. The process of wearing acrylic and getting consistent refills and not allowing them to get removed and giving your nails a break also allows weakness.

Discolouration to nails can be a few things for the causes, but the number one thing I noticed to cause a lot of it is not wearing a proper under coat. Before applying any color to your nails you need to always apply a under coat. This protects the nails from the colour being applied. If no coat is being applied nails start to get a discolouration and sometimes might tend to look yellowish. Sometimes yellowish to nails can be start to nail fungus, I just want to make a disclaimer that am not saying you do have it. This would be something your doctor would have to confirm.

In other words, another service a lot of women don’t know they need a break from is shellac. Yeah shellac. It’s a popular service but if you don’t get it properly removed and keep your nails no riches then your nails can get weak. Proper removal is using the shellac removal foils and letting them fall off. This protects your nail plate. Also remember to always nourish it after getting them done. Apply cuticle oil, any oils that are good for nails and rubbing I this around the nail plate and cuticle area. This makes your shellac last longer and keeps your nails strong and your cuticles from going dry.

Effects

Overall, I know a big thing that bothers us is cracked cuticles, split nails, hang nails etc. But the causes to most of this is dryness. If you don’t overly apply oils to these areas daily it can lead to these issues. Another disclaimer when trimming your cuticles you don’t want to overly trim to much off because it will grow back faster and thicker. This is because are cuticles are there to protect and if too much is take off it will grow back.

Conclusion

In conclusion, following basic practices of nail care and giving your nails a break can impact a big change on how your nail looks and feels. Another great tip to helping your nails are also just taking vitamins and keeping up with drinking water. All of this can result in better nail growth.
