Good morning everyone, welcome back to another blog post. Happy Monday back to a whole new week, I hope everyone morning is going good so far? I noticed I haven’t been doing much make up haul or posts lately and I want to start posting more posts related to beauty for the next upcoming weeks. I decided to do a post on my current favourite lip products I am loving so far, I am so obsessed with these products I am using these four for pretty much every make up look I do. The first three I am obsessed with is from the Fenty beauty line, I am loving the glosses and lipstick. I love the texture and how it feels I first bought the shimmering rose nude loved that and had to try the diamond milk one. I was first hesitant to buying it because I honestly thought it would be like all the other clear glosses but I decided to give it a try, it was more like a last minute quick pick up purchase. But to be honest I love it as much as the fenty glow one it is pretty much the same result I love how it just looks on me. One of the things I love about the fenty beauty line is that the beauty products she makes is for all skin tones and women everywhere, and that is one thing the beauty industry needs more for women. As a women of colour one of the hard things for me when it comes to buying products especially either foundation or lip shades is that its hard for me to find ones that match or go with me perfectly. This is a brand I would continually buy from, I haven’t tried wearing it over other lip shades I usually just wear it alone.

The next product shown that I love is the Blackup gloss, I got this on sale but sadly I found out that it is not for sale on the Sephora site anymore and I am not sure if it would be back. So backup is a brand dedicated to women of colour and it was developed by women of colour and it caters to women of darker skin tones. This is one of the reasons why I fell in love with this product it does what the brand says, this gloss looks so good on me it blends in so well with my skin tone. The gloss is kind of like a clear gloss with a nude undertone it carries different under tone colours, so you can get a rose tone or a more brown tone and etc that is the best way I can explain since I cant bring it up on sephora. The gloss doesn’t come off to sticky the only issue is that when used it sometimes comes out separated from the colour so sometimes clear gloss comes out first then it coming out together.

So those are so far all and current favourite lip products am using when doing my make up. I do not want to go further in more detail with these because i just currently did a Sephora review post on my blog and I did go through these products already. But I wanted to do a separate post on what am currently loving at the moment for winter, if you haven’t tried fenty yet I recommend you do I can not find one thing I dont like. And if you are a women of colour and find it hard like me finding shades that go with your skin tone there is your brand, even if you are not of colour you can also check out the brand they have other products pretty much any one of any shade can still use. That is it for today’s post like & comment i love hearing from you all my next post will be up Wednesday at 3pm Toronto time lol, I am so happy I am finally on a posting schedule!

Good morning everyone! Welcome back to another post I am finally doing a make up review. These are some sephora buys I got back in December for my birthday purchases and got sometime to somewhat try them out.  I know it seems a bit late but with products I love to just try them out for a while before making a big review. Also its been a bit hard to do make up haul and review lately since having a baby I hardly ever get time to sit and do my make up so hopefully I can get back to doing that.

So here is my review and thoughts about these products, I will first start with the fenty beauty the stunna lip paint long wear lip color  in chocolate-brown. And I must say this is so far my favorite lipstick at the moment, I am absolutely in love with this formula and color. I love how smooth it apply and the texture and color, it matches so well with my complexion and that is what I look first in lip colors. I’ve been looking for a while now on a color that will go so well with my complextion and I have found it. I will be making so much more purchases of this color and I also now want to give her other colors of matte lipsticks a try. Next would be the fenty lip gloss in diamond milk, I was at first hesitant to buy this when I saw this color came out because am not much a plain type to choose gloss colors like this ..but again I am in love with this gloss I just love how these colors look on me. Lately all I’ve been only been wearing fenty lip products, and I think I honestly will for awhile.

I also picked up a face mist I’ve been without one for a while now, I choose the yves saint laurent top secrets setting spray. I have used this a couple of times and I have nothing bad to say about it. I love how it feels on my skin there is no sticky or dry feeling after application of it and it dry well, I always make sure to moisturizer better using it this helps with the no dry feeling prior hand. The Anastasia product I purchased was the powered brozer, I got the color mahogany. I love how this color looked it is so pretty, and the color I thought would go well with my complexion. I use this to help with my contouring. Again I love the product how it was packaged I have no complaints about the product I would purchase this again. For the last product which is hard to see but it is the kat von d lock it setting powder. Now I for sure was not sure on buying this, I have been faithful to Laura mercier for the longest time. I have had bad experiences with setting powders settling properly into my skin because I have a darker complextion and some of them would show and I would end up looking pale. Until  found laura mercier power does not do that and it would apply smooth and I wouldn’t get that after effect. So I havent used or gave any other brands a try so I decided to try kat von d and surprisingly no pale effect. The powder is pretty smooth and I can live with it. I am happy this ended up being a good review and I didn’t have to give any thumbs down to any products, I am also happy I picked up products I don’t regret buying. But thanks for reading my review remember to like & comment I always love hearing from you all!

Good morning everyone! And welcome to another blog post. I am excited because today I can finally get two blog posts out for this week, I finally have settled on a schedule I can work with to get back to being consistent. For today’s post I decided to do a post on make up application, tomorrow is finally Christmas and its the best time to put out a make up post. From since having my blog I get questions on make up and lash application, I’ve also get tons of questions away from my blog. I decided to do a post make up application step by step for those who would like ideas on the application process.

  1. Skin Perpetration –  If its one thing I had learn while I was studying to become an esthetican it was that our face is the base to any make up application. So if you want a smooth glowing make up application it starts with the face. Another great thing to learn is that every girl wants that perfect application but if you suffer from skin issues example severe oily skin, breakouts, pimples, dry skin and dont treat these issues and cover it up I am letting you know it wont help. Everything underneath needs to be treated first before covering it up, if its not then you wont get the perfect foundation you need for putting on a great application.
  2. Products made for you! – One big mistake I noticed a lot of girls and older women do that hey I even have done is buy products not for you. Now to get a great application you also have to get the products your skin needs and to also make your application last longer. Your probably wondering ” But how do I know what my skin needs?” well we would need to analyse our skin and get to know it. But there is a difference between “Skin Type” and “Skin Condition”, everyone has a skin type but not everyone has a skin condition. The difference between skin type and condition is conditions can be dehydration, dryness, sun damage, hyper pigmentation ,wrinkles and acne. Which skin types are normal, dry, oily, combination and sensitive. When we start getting to know what our skin needs and is lacking we will then have a better understanding of what make up and skin care to buy.
  3. The Right Products – Okay! So you studied your skin, next would be buying the right skin products and make up for your skin. We all love recommending the next best product that came out but do we ever ask our self “Wait! is it for my skin!?” and then we wondering why our foundation is turning orange or why this foundation is making your skin oily. The next step would be to buy the right skincare and picking out the right products either it be Sephora or MAC.
  4. Products – When buying the right products it serves good to your skin when you either a make up lover (like myself) or occasionally wear make up. Buying the right foundation, primer, setting powder and moisturiser make a big deal when its made for your skin it makes your application come out flawless and lasting so much longer. Also a bonus to doing this is one your skin will love you and second your skin will less break out give problems because your using products that is helping your skin while getting to wear as much make up as you would like.

Using these four tools will help you with your make up application process, when applying anything over your skin you want the base to be looking great for whatever that goes on top to look great. Look at everything like this, if you have a lot of acne or dry patches and old skin cells on your skin and you dont properly wash you face or prep it for make up and just apply your make up will come out uneven and looking dull and wouldn’t last that long. You 100% want to remember to always have a perpetration before anything, your skin will start to allow improvements. I hope all this info helps, I will soon make a second half to this post on the actually make up application process. Remember to like & comment I always love to hear from you all. Thanks for reading and I hope you all have a great rest of your day!

Good morning little Black Dress fashionistas! I am back with another post, as we are now in fall and saying good-bye to the hot weather until next year; I said why not make a skin related post. I know we all somewhat struggle with skin issues and especially every time the weather changes. So in today’s post let’s get into talking about extractions.

So before we start, the question we may be asking is what is extractions?

Extractions is something that takes place after skin has been throughly cleansed, exfoliated and steamed. Steam helps to soften up the skin and prep it before extractions takes place. This also helps soften up the sebum (oils) clogged in the skin and dead skin cells, which all clogs the skin pores. Extractions are one of the most important steps to take place in a facial, especially for any clients with blackheads and white heads that cannot remove them at home.

Benefits to extractions

If struggling with high levels of sebum (oils) because you may be an oily skin type or combination getting regular or few extractions done with help control white and blackheads. One of the best benefits to getting this done is over each time your skin will start to improve. Also following extractions an antiseptic/antibacterial is applied to bring the skin back to its normal pH balance, this also aids in preventing post facial breakouts. Also by choice getting high frequency done after extractions to the area kills the bacteria and calms the skin.

One of the best things of getting extractions done regularly is removing the gunk from your face, and allowing your face to feel zit free and feeling good after each treatment. Having extractions done also helps your skin get faster healing from acne, lesions and blemishes.

Conclusion to getting this done? Many people are always tempted to picking or poping, to staying and keeping and also achieving a healthier clear skin is it is always important to keep your hands away from your face. Doing this at home can damage and your pores and spread bacteria and actually make your skin worse, it is always best to leave it all to a professional. So if you got that oily acne skin or even constantly getting white heads and black heads why not go try this out?

Hope you all enjoyed my Wednesday post! Hope I could help a little if any of you are always seeking skin info, remember to like & comment I always love reading them and commenting back. See you on my next post! Xo
