Hey everyone, welcome back to another blog post. I just wanted to do a quick blog update somewhat of what has been going on lately. This will sadly affect my blogging schedule and I wanted to let you guys know ahead of time.
This last weekend my laptop has officially gave away and won’t turn on, am assuming I need a new battery. But my laptop has had previous issues also other then the battery giving out so I am thinking of just purchasing a brand new one. At the moment I can’t say when I am purchasing it so for now I will not be putting up much blog posts due to this happening. I can still do everything from my phone like me putting this post up now but it’s not the same to properly edit before publishing. You will randomly see spontaneous posts uploading it’s if I can get a hold of a computer not completely sure. I also had been so busy these last few weeks trying to get things done and it’s been so physically and emotionally draining especially since Toronto has been having heat warnings. I hope soon I can slow down and also get a hold of buying a laptop.
In Conclusion ..
I also still have unpacking to do, and then am also running around doing errands and preparing for a vacation me and my husband is taking for our anniversary. So it’s a lot to take in but I wanted to make sure I put out a blog update post so everyone knows whats going on. These changes will maybe be going on for the rest of the summer, hopefully things get back to its original schedule soon. I will of course still be active on all my social media platforms which you can find here Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
Thank you all for understanding, I will do my best of course on uploading as much content I can. I really do not want to delay much postings I will go insane if I am behind so I will make out the best I can do in this situation. Thank you all for reading, please check out my latest post, Blog Q&A. See you all in my next post!
Hey everyone, welcome back to another blog post. I hope everyone had a great weekend and Father’s Day, my weekend was great and somewhat relaxing. For today’s blog post I wanted to do a review on how I feel about Milk Makeup hydro grip primer. I got a good feel on it and got time to gather my thoughts about this product. And wanted to share just in case anyone looking to try it out.
So I purchased this primer not to long ago, I was looking to try out a new primer. For a good two to three years now I’ve been using the becca matte primer and I’ve stuck to it. And I wanted to look for a primer that can hold my makeup, not make my face look or feel dry. The becca primer is matte but sadly it leaves a white consistency on my face. I wanted to try the hydro primer, at first I was unsure about it because how the consistency looked. And it looked like it would leave a sticky feeling afterwards but I decided to give it a try. I needed a primer and I had no second choice t to be honest lol. You can find the product here on sephora.
The hydro grip primer is a hydrating gripping primer. This product carries cannabis seed extract and blue agave extract for all day hydration. One of the things I love about the product is it has aloe water in it. And it blends clear to work with all skin types. For product to work best is to apply product over clean skin. Pump one to two shots apply product and let sit for one minute to activate grip. You can also wear this primer alone if you just want an no make up day. After using this product it does what it says my face felt 100% hydrated. I did not get a sticky greasy feeling after application even a few minutes after applying the product. And a little goes a long way with this product, which is a bonus.
After applying my foundation on it blended well with no issues my foundation looked smooth and blended. . The only thing I didn’t get to test was the length of time it holds up. I didn’t have my foundation on long enough to see how my foundation looked hours later. But I cant honestly talk about that and give results because we all have different skin types. And how my make up may look hours later yours may look different. so it all varies. My skin is only oily in my T zone and chin so usually hours later it gets oily. But hopefully this product helps with that issue.
If I had to rate this product out of 10 id give a 7, just because I still need to wear the product more and get more of a feel out of it. And wear it for a good couple of hours and see how my foundation holds up. But overall I love the product it was worth the buy and I honestly cant complain. If any of you have tried it what are your thoughts? Or is anyone going to try it out? Let me know in the comments. I always love to hear from you all, and ill talk to you all in the next blog!
Good morning everyone, and welcome back to another blog post! Happy Friday everyone I hope everyone had a pretty chill week? This week for me has been hectic it’s crazy, am currently in the process of moving and I have been busy trying to organise everything especially the way I want lol you already know moving and with small kids equals mess and I don’t do well with mess. Then also I have been slightly sick this week “yay for me” that has been tough also my six month old too and then my husband has severe allergies so my house hold at the moment is crazy. I’m surprised I even could type this out with the way am feeling and praying I get sleep tonight from my six month old. But for today’s blog post I just wanted to do a quick review on a product I got as a sample of and I never used it up until yesterday and I instantly fell in love with it.
The product is called Green Clean, I haven’t heard of it until I got it as a sample in my Ipsy monthly make up bag. For awhile I had the product just laying around until yesterday I decided to get it a try, the product is a make up melt away balm and yesterday I was in the worst mood and just wanted my make up off asap and decided to give it a try. Now so far personally I haven’t came across any great make up removers other then Dermalogica pre cleanse, this is one of the best make up removers its not just a make up remover but a cleanser as well I would highly recommend trying this product out!
So not only do I love the bottle packaging but I love the texture of the product as well, it does come off like it said as a balm form its really soft and comes off as creamy when applying to your face with water. Now that wasn’t the only thing that caught my attention when trying out the product I also noticed the smell of the product, it is more of a mint smell to it and it wasn’t to strong as well. It was not to strong of a mint smell or to light just enough to notice when applying to your skin and I absolutely love it. Now with the product I only have about a sample size (as you see in the pic) but what I love is with this product is ” a little bit goes a long way” . I grabbed about three small amounts to my finger tips and worked it around on my face and it got a good amount of make up off my face, I was actually quite impressed to be honest and you wouldn’t even need to apply more after I rinsed off that portion I continued rinsing and just that amount lifted most of my make up off.
This product is for normal to oily skin type, it helps with dryness, uneven skin tone and dullness of the skin. The top highlighted ingredients in the product are sunflower and ginger root oil, this is what helps melt away your stubborn make up. This product also helps remove impurities and gently exfoliates the skin! This is an absolute plus for me as I didn’t even know this. You can find this brand simply at your local sephora! I can say I will be buying the full bottle of this and add it to my daily skin re gamin. Thank you for reading and I hope you all enjoyed today’s post! If any of you have tried this product out let me know your thoughts about the product, or even if you haven’t if your going to try it out. Remember to like and comment I always love hearing from you all! Hope you all have a great relaxing weekend.
Good afternoon everyone, and welcome back to another blog post ! Lucky you this week getting posts back to back. I am so excited to do this post as it is a product line I have tried awhile back and it doesn’t get out there much also because not much people know of it. But this is a line that can pretty much relate to everyone and to be honest its a pretty fun line.
Farm house fresh is a founded brand from its name of course, their ingredients is made from their fresh grown ingredients on the farm. This brand is a natural based skin care brand their farm house is based in the united states, 99.6% of the ingredients are healthy and fresh. Story behind the brand itself !
All About Farmhouse Fresh
Being such an interesting brand, even for the green beauty space, the story behind FarmHouse Fresh is one to hear. Like many small, indie brands, FarmHouse Fresh was created with one flagship product that went on to become the cornerstone of a full line of skin care products. Just over 10 years ago, FarmHouse Fresh launched an exfoliation trio with sea salt as the main ingredient. This exfoliation system was developed by FarmHouse Fresh founder Shannon McLinden to heal cracked heels. It was that one simple product that launched FarmHouse Fresh to almost instant success after it snagged a coveted feature on Oprah’s O-List. That achievement was just one of many with FarmHouse Fresh products scoring numerous nods from esteemed publications like Elle, Southern Living Magazine, and Redbook.
So aside from the fact that FarmHouse Fresh literally uses farm fresh ingredients, there are many things that make this brand so unique. FarmHouse Fresh princes itself on being a USA made product that specially crafts each and every one of its growing skin care line. Their message of farm life and freshness goes beyond their skin care products as evidenced by just a quick tour around their site. You’ll see that FarmHouse Fresh is dedicated to their farm and all the animals that live there. – FarmHouseFresh
Farm house fresh has collection of face, body, fragrance and bath products. They carry oils, exfoliates, lotions, creams, moisturisers, soaks, cleansers and much more. Farm house fresh boy oils are perfect to moisturiser the skin after a nice bath or shower, the unique formulation they have is created to lock in moisture. The oils each have a formulation of blended oils and each farm house fresh oil is 99.6% natural formulation. To achieve the best results with the oil is best to drop in a bath or just apply right after a shower. The farm house fresh lotions they have has a great formulation like aloe, shea butter that benefit the skin. They have a number of different scents like back country caramel, fresh melon, ginger sorbet and sweet cream.
The first time I ever tried this brand was back in college when I was studying spa management and this was sold in the college spa, and I personally was hooked on this brand. There products smell so good I purchased the melon scrub with vodka in it and the back country caramel lotion, that lotion was my all time favourite I must say. If you are looking for the all time organic brand that does the job and smells great this would be the one. I love how farm house fresh does their scrubs, their bourbon bubbler is infused with brown sugar and real Kentucky whiskey.
There is a watermelon basil vodkatini, which is watermelon, organic vodka and basil. This has watermelon seed oils with sugar and rice bran for a great exfoliation. The rasmopolitan which is raspberry and vodka, and sugar with rice bran oil. The raspberry extract and the vitamin E in it help hydrate the skin and the salt and sugar help lift away any dead skin cells on the skin. The brand has a great variety of products, you can look at here on their site Farmhousefreshgoods.com. I hope I had the answer to all your cleansing, exfoliating and skin needs if you would like to know more have some time to visit their site. Thank you for reading I hope you all have a great rest of our Wednesday ! Look out for Monday post which will be posted at 9am EST.
Good morning everyone! And welcome to another blog post. I am excited because today I can finally get two blog posts out for this week, I finally have settled on a schedule I can work with to get back to being consistent. For today’s post I decided to do a post on make up application, tomorrow is finally Christmas and its the best time to put out a make up post. From since having my blog I get questions on make up and lash application, I’ve also get tons of questions away from my blog. I decided to do a post make up application step by step for those who would like ideas on the application process.
Skin Perpetration – If its one thing I had learn while I was studying to become an esthetican it was that our face is the base to any make up application. So if you want a smooth glowing make up application it starts with the face. Another great thing to learn is that every girl wants that perfect application but if you suffer from skin issues example severe oily skin, breakouts, pimples, dry skin and dont treat these issues and cover it up I am letting you know it wont help. Everything underneath needs to be treated first before covering it up, if its not then you wont get the perfect foundation you need for putting on a great application.
Products made for you! – One big mistake I noticed a lot of girls and older women do that hey I even have done is buy products not for you. Now to get a great application you also have to get the products your skin needs and to also make your application last longer. Your probably wondering ” But how do I know what my skin needs?” well we would need to analyse our skin and get to know it. But there is a difference between “Skin Type” and “Skin Condition”, everyone has a skin type but not everyone has a skin condition. The difference between skin type and condition is conditions can be dehydration, dryness, sun damage, hyper pigmentation ,wrinkles and acne. Which skin types are normal, dry, oily, combination and sensitive. When we start getting to know what our skin needs and is lacking we will then have a better understanding of what make up and skin care to buy.
The Right Products – Okay! So you studied your skin, next would be buying the right skin products and make up for your skin. We all love recommending the next best product that came out but do we ever ask our self “Wait! is it for my skin!?” and then we wondering why our foundation is turning orange or why this foundation is making your skin oily. The next step would be to buy the right skincare and picking out the right products either it be Sephora or MAC.
Products – When buying the right products it serves good to your skin when you either a make up lover (like myself) or occasionally wear make up. Buying the right foundation, primer, setting powder and moisturiser make a big deal when its made for your skin it makes your application come out flawless and lasting so much longer. Also a bonus to doing this is one your skin will love you and second your skin will less break out give problems because your using products that is helping your skin while getting to wear as much make up as you would like.
Using these four tools will help you with your make up application process, when applying anything over your skin you want the base to be looking great for whatever that goes on top to look great. Look at everything like this, if you have a lot of acne or dry patches and old skin cells on your skin and you dont properly wash you face or prep it for make up and just apply your make up will come out uneven and looking dull and wouldn’t last that long. You 100% want to remember to always have a perpetration before anything, your skin will start to allow improvements. I hope all this info helps, I will soon make a second half to this post on the actually make up application process. Remember to like & comment I always love to hear from you all. Thanks for reading and I hope you all have a great rest of your day!
